A manager from a large restaurant inside the neighborhood area named in for our services. He had been asked to locate out if we could assist the owner. It had grow to be clear that many of the waiting staff where stealing from the Guidelines pot. He explained to us that on some weeks there can be as much as £5000 within the pot on a Saturday night. There had been only two methods that the cash could be stolen from the pot. 1 could be just before the dollars was put into the pot along with the other could be when it was getting counted inside the staff room.
We asked the client if they had any CCTV cameras inside the restaurant. The Manager stated they had no security other than the locks and bolts. We suggested that CCTV cameras exactly where a must ahead of we did something else within the restaurant. We had the CCTV fitted with out any of the staff realising. We also decided to go undercover and pose as a couple getting a meal. We wanted to attempt and get the waiter to take a bit tip from us to see what he would do using the cash.
The Restaurant was really busy and so where the waiters. We had a great meal and showed our appreciation in the finish when we gave the waiter a big tip. Right after we left we went back to the workplace to watch the film footage. It fairly clearly showed both the head waiter along with the Bar man taking cash from the Tip jar and also forgetting to put their ideas in. Our client was delighted with all the CCTV and the truth that we caught the head waiter and Barman read handed.
